Good morning,
I’m realising these newsletters are landing in your inbox once a month at the moment which, given how much I want and need to get on with writing this book, is perfectly fine by me. So, allow me to update you on where I’m at - now feels like a good time.
I’m approaching close to 15,000 words with the current draft, which is almost 25% of the work done. After a few weeks of minimal writing progress as I worked to transcribe interviews instead, it’s welcome progress as I edge ever closer to the 31 March deadline next year.
Speaking of interviews, I'm hopeful I should be able to wrap those up soon, so I can stick to just blitzing through the outstanding chapters, give them all an edit and send them on their way to my editor's inbox. Thank you so much to everyone who has agreed to chat to me so far for my book, your answers have been fascinating and invaluable.
Five out of 14 chapters are done at the moment, which worries me slightly as I fear I'll complete them all with a significant gap in my final word count and where it needs to be.
Let us pray my tendency to ramble will help on that front. At the moment, I'm trying to relegate that fear to the back of my mind as I jump into writing more chapters. Some of my favourite parts of the book are still waiting to be written.
So with that in mind, I best get back to writing.
Chat next month, if not sooner,
Liam
